Description: | XP x32 and Vista x32 with admin priv , Windows 7?
In the previous five months this has been downloaded approx. 15,000 times from various sites. I
have received about ten virus/worm/trojan accusations, a couple of doesn t update , and very
many
Thanks, works great .The License workaround script that may show up as a false positive from time
to time. That s why it s added to NOD s Exclusion list. There are no bugs and it updates just fine.
So READ...
Auto Not silent installation.
I put this together myself, tested many times with different variations, and it works well. All you
have to do is run it and read the info on the screen.
It is self installing, settings entered, self-cracking, scheduled, and will search and insert a
valid license for updating virus definitions whenever necessary; seemingly forever.
It updates just fine, and is scheduled to do so periodically.
I left the option of rebooting manual.
You should reboot after install, then update from the taskbar icon or wait for NOD to automatically
do so.
If expired or near, the License Updater will connect to the internet will automatically find a new
legit license User Name/ And Password and insert it into your ESET PROGRAM automatically , and
you will have another expiration date.
Ignore valid expiry dates.
I have scheduled the License Updater , so the tool checks your license more frequently. If you have
a direct connection, then an update check only at boot is probably sufficient. Wireless connections
suffer a delay upon start up, and with it update problems. So scheduled license checks are
important
after that time. If you re not happy with the frequent update checks scheduled... change it.
You can manually re-evaluate your key and replace it if necessary.
You will have a full version of Nod with module and virus definition updates, not just definition
updates as with trials. Keys will never be a problem again.
You must completely uninstall any previous ESET product.
Then use the Antivirus Removal Tool to strip the reg entries. YES, it is in Dutch, nevertheless
double-click it. Select Yes , and wait for confirmation.
Don t use the Removal Tool before running NOD s uninstaller.
The Updater script may show up as a false positive from time to time.
You may want to add C:Program FilesESET to NOD s exclusions list within ESET. Open the NOD
Gui--> Press F5 --> look to the left side for Exclusions ... Select it. Then on the right side
select Add , then point to the installation directory of ESET Default is C:Program FilesESET
Select OK. Then OK again.
Normal and Evaluation update servers are the same.
IP is always the same, the only thing that changes is the directory:
All UsersApplication DataESET...../eset eval/ for trials
All UsersApplication DataESET...../eset upd/ for commercials
If you ever want to check Eset s NOD32 Update Servers Online Status go to:
h p://computersecurityassociates.com/server check/server st.php
Don t hit and run... Seed it.
