Synopsis:
On the way home from school one day Yuuji Kashima is stopped by a strange man, offering to give him
a dice game with the special ability to make him closer to whomever he plays it with. And that
couldn   t be closer to the truth  Deciding to try the game with his mother, things are about to go
very, very wrong. But it won   t stop there, not when he has his sister to try the game with too.
Things couldn   t get more sordid 
Review:
If you didn   t surmise from  or read  the synopsis, Sexual Pursuit is all about incest, and it
doesn   t mess around with any sort of    in law    or    half    relative jive talk. So if you  
re
not one for a mother and son or a sister and brother having relations, you should probably just
move
on now. There is no sex in this title between anyone not directly blood related. For most of us
though, we will just try and push those thoughts aside and enjoy the title for its other merits,
operative word there try.
Yuuji is your typical wimpy loser, constantly picked on by his older sister and strangely attracted
not only to her but also his mother as well. This leads us down a dangerous path of secret desire
and, with the help of a magical dice game, a very physical consequence. The first episode is
dedicated to the introduction of the mysterious dice game with the power to bring its players
closer
together, and Yuuji playing such a game with his mother. Things start out innocently enough, a
lingering embrace that lasts just a bit too long, quickly followed by kissing, stripping, and other
unscrupulous acts by both parties. If you can get past the whole mother-son aspect the first
episode
is actually not bad, even though the story is fairly basic and the animation is just average. Sadly
the second episode, where one would imagine his sister will get involved in the unsavory incestuous
acts, does indeed happen, but it achieves very little. There is nothing in the second episode which
involves all three of them together  take that as you will , and everything with his sister is just
standard hentai fare. Add to that 5 minutes worth of recap from the first episode and it just fails
to titillate, or entertain for that matter.
The centerpiece of Sexual Pursuit, for all intense and purposes, is the dice game, and its
inclusion is what actually made the first episode interesting. The tension created by two people
being forced to have sex with one another gave the whole thing an exciting sensation. And it wasn  
t like most of the others, where they   re being forced by other people to do it. Sadly this aspect
is almost completely missing from the second episode, where the dice game is used once in making
Aoi
masturbate while Yuuji watches. After that they just have sex with one another because they want
to.
Where   s the fun in that? The real missed opportunity here is how interesting things could have
gotten if more people were in on the game, but sadly that doesn   t come to fruition. There is also
the unfortunate circumstance in that Aoi is a fair bit hotter than her mother, but is only in the
useless second episode, making the whole thing an odd mishmash of success and failure.
No need to worry about the sex itself though, everything is fully explicit. There   s a bit of
pissing involved here, used to show orgasms for the women, and Yuuji is often on the receiving end.
That   s really the most extreme content here, so if you   re good with that you shouldn   t have
problems with the rest, which is pretty much just standard sex acts. As with just about every
hentai
title, the Japanese language track is the way to go, but I really didn   t find the English dub
here
to be that objectionable. I actually found it to be pretty good, but for whatever reason the hentai
scripts just never sound like they can be taken seriously when said in English. It   s sort of an
odd language paradox I will one day figure out   
I can   t really recommend Sexual Pursuit for a couple of reasons. The second episode is nothing
special, the technical aspects are nothing special, and yes, it   s all incest all the time. The
first episode saves it from being a waste of time, but not enough to make it anything you need to
see.
Miscellanies:
Sexual Pursuit is part of the Vanilla Series, a strange conglomeration of tiles which have nothing
to do with one another but that all look incredibly alike. Just by looking at the animation of a
hentai title you can just about tell right off the bat whether or not it   s part of the Vanilla
Series, and if it is, that   s not a good thing.  The animation is typically pretty poor .
