- make sure DirectX 9.0 Runtime is installed 
- serial-number: 000-00000000
- click on the configure button
- select stand-alone license and click next
- select custom and deselect marterial library, samples and tutorials
- click  Configuration Complete  instead of  Next  now 
- click install
- after install, copy adlmint.dll from EQX to your installed dir
